So my biggest challenge is just figuring out *where* new code should go -- the source is a god damned nightmare -- but our current tools can't handle that much source (even of one relatively small component) without barfing all over itself. Is Claude better at that sort of thing?

I have not yet used Claude, my company has rolled out ... something ... that lets us use either ChatGPT or some French company as the genAI. By far its biggest shortcoming is context size - we have a lot of giant source files (25+ year old C++ project that is enormous, like OS level complexity) 1/
