You can see pretti’s hands under the pile all the way up to where gray jacket guy takes the gun.

Pretti clearly never pulled it out.

A Black man was killed by ICE (off duty) in Los Angeles on New Year’s Eve. And like Renée Good, he was an American citizen. But most people have not heard about Keith Porter.

I need y’all to realize this. Black people experience this lack of visibility all the time when it comes to being victims.

Renee Good’s Murder was Misogyny We cannot ignore the distinctively gendered dynamics of this—and much other—fascist violence

I beg us not to lose sight of the role queerphobia played along with misogyny. Becca Good’s tone in interacting with Ross was just like her late wife’s: calm yet lightly mocking; neither scared nor deferential; and because of that deeply, deeply subversive. katemanne.substack.com/p/renee-good...

AFTER the ICE murder of Renee Good, this is what ICE did subsequently. It was its own signal. They will be operating without restraint and zero fear of accountability before the law. www.mprnews.org/story/2026/0...

The NSF Bio Anthro Program DDRIG, Cultural Anthrpology DDRIG, and Archaeology DDRIG have all been archived (as of yesterday afternoon). Please speak with your grad students and plan accordingly. To say I am angry and depressed about this is an understatement.

The Supreme Court Just Gave the OK to Racial Profiling The court’s ruling allowing ICE to resume its indiscriminate round-ups of LA’s Latino residents can only be described as one thing.

Here’s my write up on the most racist decision to come out of the Supreme Court in a while. The court approved of Trump’s racial profiling of Latinos with Brett Kavanaugh saying being harassed based on the color of your skin is “common sense.”
