Ever like.. wished you had a safe space to scream?
why saying that AI is incredible followed by a series of non-loading comments because the vibe-coded site is fucking broken
I don't think I could make a joke better than this
the Minecraft modding space is the only one I know of where the potential to receive death threats for liking JSON is realistic
A Minecraft screenshot. Four spruce planks are arranged on the crafting grid on the ground showing that a crafting table can be produced.
Mojang added Story Mode crafting to Java, lovely

After analysing the needs and desires of our ever-expanding userbase, we have decided to implement our first ever AI Chatbot on the Minecraft Wiki.
We hope this friendly face can help make up for the immense shortcomings of information caused by our unnecessary human editors.

My favourite thing (and perhaps.. only thing I enjoy) about social media, specifically in formats like Bluesky, is that I can cheer on people on the cool things they're doing.
Now, obviously I've done lots of not that, but I'm certainly trying my best..!(?)
It has given me the idea of maybe adding read-throughs of my blogposts, whether useful or not... not sure how well that'd go to implement, though.
A blogpost by lambdaurora about terms used by plural systems, in a web browser. Half of the screen is the regular page, whilst half is reading mode, with a text-to-speech reading the article to me.
Reading mode is genuinely so helpful sometimes; in this case because I really wanted to read @lambdaurora.dev's blogpost about plural terminology
😭
#mcdev part two of the IDEA Community Edition whatever, but worded less like a Reddit post!
3/2.
I'm sorry for being pithy about this in my first post about it, but I wanted to make it at least a little more known that *yes, you do have options!*
The free version of the new unified distribution is by no means significantly worse, but I prefer the simplicity of CE and will continue w/ it.
What they fail to note is that you can still use the "Open Source" version (which is still labelled as "Community Edition", intentional or not...)
JetBrains has also made it difficult to find these continued CE distributions, which are on their GitHub at
github.com/JetBrains/in....

Follow-up on previous post.
To put it less bluntly, JetBrains has made some *very interesting* choices when it comes to migration of IDEA users.
The path they recommend is moving Community users to the new "unified distribution", which is a somewhat continuation of Ultimate.

For me, the lack of an annoying and unremovable "FREE TRIAL" button is enough to make the switch
IntelliJ IDEA Community Edition 2026.1
This is just a summary of my personal experience attempting to update IDEA CE 2024.1 to 2026.1.
Declaring CE dead and then... not, but still hiding it feels very intentionally misleading to me.
They're lying (or at least being extremely misleading) about killing CE, and are just obfuscating it as much as possible by using different terms (like Open Source version in the chart above), and hiding CE downloads to GH.
Migration to unified IntelliJ IDEA Now: Enabling CI/CD Pipelines and Open Source Builds on GitHub [ultimate and community edition have two arrows connecting to themselves again, in the following section, that being] 2025.2 Introducing a graceful license expiration in IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate [ultimate and community edition merge into IntelliJ IDEA in the next panel, a new Open Source has an arrow pointing to itself in the next panel, that being] 2025.3 Migrating to the Unified Distribution [Open Source and IntelliJ IDEA, at the end of this flowchart. That was difficult.]
uhh.. right that's useful.
This is an official image from their blog, and they hid all CE downloads from their website. I'll repost with some fancy hashtags ig
The hajs are definitely being used as a hook here though, lol
It's also to keep them from getting sued; in the same vein as cereals that pretend to have fruit in them or other food products that feature depictions labelling their front packaging as a 'serving suggestion'

Minecraft Adventure.. or World.. or whatever is being built in Greater London (Chessington).
The ecological damage set to come forth is due to the plans to do a Minecraft Experience installation in an ecologically sensitive habitat in Buenos Aires, AR.
Seems I got assumed Minecraft leaks right, and also didn't believe one.
That whole spicewood thing is Dungeons II, I suppose?
Meanwhile, I've also heard Mojang is building a theme park (this will be named Minecraft Adventure) on an ecologically sensitive habitat.
I'd expect no less from M$.
It sounds like sketchy cartel-driven illegal milk imports to avoid big milk
All the current Situations, I’d say, are keeping me at this odd place between wanting to go into politics and wanting to kill myself- which of course is why I’m a musician
I can't remember how I stumbled upon @pixcele.bsky.social's "ORION", but I'm glad I did.
It's one of the few albums I've been quite sad are only two songs. Give it a listen!!
