It’s not that he didn’t know what teleport means. He was trying to understand what Phillips meant by teleport because frankly it is sort of a bizarre thing to hear for the first time

I called Trump to ask about having a man who says such things in charge of federal disaster response, Trump asked “what does teleport mean” and “was he kidding?” Adding, “It just sounds a little strange, but I know nothing about teleporting or him.”
