My first thought is . . . what exactly is the alleged crime here?

And then I remember -- there doesn't really need to be one.

On multiple occasions in the past year, members of a security detail had difficulty waking Patel because he was seemingly intoxicated, according to information supplied to justice department of White House officials. Our request for “breaching equipment” – normally used by SWAT and hostage rescue teams to quickly gain entry into the buildings – was made last year because Patel had been unreachable behind, locked doors, according to multiple their request

Opinion | Joe Rogan’s down on Trump — but he’s forever anti-vax MAHA Anthony L. Fisher: The influential podcaster continues to spread RFK Jr.’s anti-vaccine gospel — and a new poll shows more Americans are growing comfortable with having measles back.

When the next measles outbreak makes it to your hometown, call it “The Joe Rogan Experience.”

3 Screenshots from the movie "Mallrats" (1995): First, three young men stand outside a mall restroom, engaged in a tense conversation, one of them wearing a beanie and a stained shirt. Second, a man dressed in a makeshift Batman costume with goggles and wings spreads his arms while standing on a mall structure. Third, a brightly lit stage features a man in a light blue suit hosting a talk show segment with three seated guests under spotlights and pink curtains.

I don’t do country often, but in between my kids requests I throw in a, “Trashy Women,” or, “You never even called me by my name,” just to keep them on their toes.

Disappointed, though not surprised, I began to describe various life- saving components of USAID’s global health portfolio, highlighting how we prepare for and respond to emerging pandemic threats; support the diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis, malaria, and HIV; and immunize millions of children from the deadliest childhood diseases. I spoke for about five minutes, focusing primarily on our infectious diseases work and hoping to keep the attention of people who seemed to have no experience—or interest—in global health.

When I finished, the room was silent, the political appointees looking at one another in what appeared to be disbelief. The silence was broken by Ken Jackson, who chuckled softly and shook his head. “Wow, there really is so much that USAID does that we never knew,” he said. “This is the story that needs to get out there.”

Joel, also smiling, chimed in next, echoing Jackson’s amazement. “I had no idea you did all this,” he said. “As a Republican, when I think of what USAID does in global health, I assumed it was just, you know, abortions.”
