"I would definitely recommend Arcadia Fallen 2. The familiarity with the world and the poignant story served as a great vehicle for this pleasant cast of characters to have their adventure."

and that's my list for March. Bunch of short games, but had a good time regardless. On to April!

Finally, its Life is Strange Reunion. This is going to be a tough one to describe in one post, but the word I'd use to describe it is "safe". I'll have more thoughts out next week with my review on @hotgamersonly.com!

Next up is Thank Goodness You're Here, quite possibly the most british game ever made. If you love british comedy please drop everything and go and play this game. I'm angry with myself that I didn't get around to this sooner.

Then I replayed Tales from the Borderlands! Still an incredible story game and imo Telltales best. If you haven't (especially if you're put off from the IP) please play this game. Its phenominal.

Next Mind Over Magnet from GMT. Fun little puzzle platformer this. Don't have much to say but give it a try, I liked it!

Next is Neva, from the folks that brought us Gris. Liked this one a bit more than it's predecessor, and as a dog person this one kinda destroyed me by the end. Can recommend!

I then spent a majority of the month playing indie games. First up was Venba. @reaperhunter.bsky.social recommended this one to me on the podcast and it was a really cool game about cooking and family. Nice little game!

Following that I played quite a bit of Pokemon Pokopia. I fell off this game pretty hard after around 15 hours, but I get why people have been enjoying this so much. If you are a fan of the genre or cosy games you can't really do much better at the moment!

Oops I forgot to do my monthly games list for March. Sorry was a busy week...

Let's fix that!

I started my month by finally getting the platinum in Helldivers 2. Fun Co-op game that I can always recommend if you're into that sort of thing!

Finished Life is Strange Reunion. Will have more thoughts eventually (review hopefully out next week), but my favorite thing is randomly this polariod image. Its done something to me man... so pretty.

And thats that! No promises that I'm going to keep up this pace of games in March, I've just really been enjoying clearing the backlog as of late. Might try and get a game or two in before Life is Strange Reunion at the end of the month.

If you have any suggestions let me know!

And then my second Story replay was Dispatch. Again this was mainly to clean up the platinum, but I still think this game is incredible. Highly Recommend it to fans of Telltale/Life is Strange and just fans of narrative games in general. Just wish these didn't have forced replays for trophies!

Finally, I got two story game replays under my belt. First up was Life is Strange Double Exposure. Needed to do a second playthrough for the plat, and I was suprised how I enjoyed it more the second time around. Still not a fan of that second half, and I still agree with my review, but I enjoyed it.

Then I finally went back and beat the story mode for Mario Maker 2, a game I really just ignored in favour of CTR Nitro Fueled as they released on the same day.

Mario Maker is still fantastic, but I had my fill back on the Wii U. Its still a great time if you're a fan of 2D Mario.

I kept the Switch backlog train going by finally beating box boy and box girl, a game I bought 6 years ago and never finished for some reason. The games fun enough, but there's nothing really here if you've played any of the other entries.

One I'm still indifferent on is Bayonetta 3. Its easily my least favourite entry in the franchise. Its story is nonsensical, and its gameplay changes get rather repetitive as you go on. I'm glad I finally finished it, but man I really can't really recommend it. Just stick to playing 1 and 2.

Next up was Super Mario RPG. Finally decided to give a Mario RPG a chance, so why not the one that started it all!

This game is delightful. It only took me around 10 or so hours, but I can see why people love it as much as they do. Glad I finally gave this one a chance!

Forgot to do my games I played in February post. I'm going to start doing these as I go as I swear I'm going to forget something...

First up is Kirby and the forgotten land. Played this on Switch 2 and actually had a really good time with it. Can easily recommend if you like chill 3D platformers!

This is something I need to do at the end of the month…

The slop must be filed and categorised.

Oh get in the bin PlayStation...

You had THE remake studio prat about on live services just to shut them down after your gambit failed. All that potential destroyed thanks to your dumb GAAS greed.

Think of everything Bluepoint could have done if you used them for their actual talents. Morons.

Happy 2nd birthday to Persona 3 Reload! Lovely little remake of one of the best JRPGs of the 2000s.

It may not be perfect, but I'll always appreciate a modern way to experience this story!

(Color Your Night was worth the remake alone. Top 5 Persona song right there!)

And with that, that's everything I played this January. Like I said don't expect this many entries next month, I just had some free time and days off I needed filling!

Mainly foccusing on backlog so if you have any suggestions for games to check out let me know!

and then I replayed Sly 2 and FF7 Intermission. Sly 2 is still goated and intermission is still FINE. The new progression updates are wild and are certainly a choice if you ever wanted to play the game without even trying. Good for accessibility though!

Kirby Air Riders is fine! City Trial is still the highlight and is a blast with a group of friends, but its rogue-lite story mode and racing leave more to be desired.

Good for a party or online with your friends, but a bit expensive for what it is!

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment is like Age of Calamity if it ran properly and actually stuck to the canon. Warriors games don't necessarily speak to me, but I had a decent enough time returning to Hyrule during the imprisoning war. I liked it fine enough, but man do these games feel bloated...
