That's fair. I personally enjoyed it, just the exploration. But I can't deny it really fully hit its stride in the late game and that finale still gives me goosebumps. It was my goty 2025 and I played it in 2026. It beat out digimon for me which is saying something lol.

Mario Wonder was awesome and I had a blast with it. But like, where's the wild experimentation of sunshine or galaxy or even odyssey?

Nintendo as a whole could use a wake up call for it's first party stuff for sure.

I think that's fair. I haven't been able to get air riders yet myself. Honestly the best first party I've played is Bananza and that was DK coming back to the forefront so they really tried. I think they feel they don't actually have to try as much anymore.
