Yeah, all that dirty laundry was there! We need a pop culture trivia game to team up and play. I too am still overly engaged with pop culture even if some of the time now I’m confused about who the hell some of these people are. (Reality tv I’m totally lost with, don’t watch it.)

I know her name but just looked at Wikipedia because I don’t know why she’s famous. I assumed I saw her on the Love Boat or something… nope. Weird!

Thanks to my friend @righteousamerica.bsky.social for alerting me that there’s some cool Haring stuff in the city right now, which I would have missed! A few pics from my excursions:

Two months ago I floated my fantastic idea for the Democrats and the next presidential election: hologram JFK.

I love how much faith LinkedIn has in me! It’s so delusional! Where does it get this idea?! (Though, tbh, I am pretty sure I could be a CEO if someone appointed me as one.)

Reportedly everything back to normal, a lot of anecdotes online with people saying they were through in 15 minutes. I’d still be there at 12:30 but I’m neurotic.

I usually say I feel like I’m in a pressure cooker but today I told my spouse I feel like I’m in our tofu press. Which made me really reflect on how I wish I was a block of tofu.

I have always felt that a lot of my morality comes from Mister Rogers (with a bit from my mom and some from being an air sign). I also feel like in this current moment you can tell who watched Mister Rogers and who didn’t. Should be required viewing even today.

My biggest pet peeve on Letterboxd is people who rate everything 4+ stars and above. I cannot take you seriously. (True for those jerks who think everything is 1 or 2 stars as well.)

I recently rewatched and it hold up so well! Timeless classic!

No joke, their roasted salted pistachios blow any others I’ve had out of the water. (Any time I talk about nuts I think of the scene in BEST IN SHOW where Harlan Pepper names all the nuts he can think of.)

Actually that was an overstatement. I’m part of a study to see if certain treatments help treatment resistant depression. They do an MRI before treatment and then another 1 day and then 1 week after. So I go back tomorrow for treatment then more scans over the next week. My brain is unremarkable 😹

Meanwhile, I’m doing a study to find out why my brain is so fucked up 🫠

Filmpodium Filmpodium Zürich - Das Filmpodium ist ein Kulturangebot des Präsidialdepartements der Stadt Zürich in Zusammenarbeit mit der Cinémathèque suisse in Lausanne.

Just want to brag that my spouse is so amazing that they get to do infinitely cool things like give a guest lecture in Switzerland today (with one of their collaborators in Feminist Elsewheres, Fiona Berg)!

These are the things that have historically led to revolutions. Not sustainable.

A selfie of Matthew Neumann, a man with a thick reddish-brown beard and glasses, sitting in a car and wearing a vibrant, multicolored shirt. He is holding up his Kansas driver's license toward the camera; the license shows his name and a male gender marker. The image includes a caption identifying him as the founder of the LGBTQ Foundation of Kansas and noting his refusal to surrender the license following the passage of a law declaring it invalid.

Under Kansas law, he must use the women's bathroom or be subjected to criminal charges in government owned buildings or $1000 vigilante lawsuits in public spaces.

I think everyone can understand why this is absurd and causes more problems than it was ever intended to fix.

Kent called me over and questioned my intelligence (I believe he even asked if I was “mentally challenged”). Well, buddy boy, sorry I wasn’t smart enough to run your chain office supply store but I’m closing in on finishing a dissertation that I guarantee you couldn’t have written. Suck it, Kent.

I had a shitty job when I was 21 & didn’t care about things like who the boss was. One day I had to ask a question & the supervisor said “go ask Kent” & I asked “who is Kent?” & this little bootlicker had a meltdown. KENT IS THE DISTRICT MANAGER, ALL OF OURS BOSS. I got fired a few days later…

Jews are targeted in shuls & online.

Brown & Black people are abducted and sent to concentration camps.

Muslims are openly targeted by politicians.

Activists & journalists are targeted by the FBI.

Trans & queer people are being outlawed.

We are in this together. This is why solidarity matters.

The most true thing about me is I enjoy perverting photos I take on my phone by blowing out the saturation and making everything else dark as hell. I blame Road Blasters even tho I cannot find proof that I should.

He was NOT pleased by the blizzard we got that delayed his family from getting him but he was pleased by the gourmet scrambled egg breakfast he got every day so it all balanced out.
