There is! This was for a weekly art challenge among friends (current theme was "cycle"). Recent personal milestones and playing Outer Wilds got me thinkin a lot about life, love, and permanence these past few months. Even the challenge itself reminded me time is limited, so I drew this in 40 mins.
A fennec rests on a hilltop bench. His only company is the gravestone in front of him, which over time had been split by the growth of what is now an imposing tree. Its branches embrace him in the frame, curled by weather and age, a few red leaves to its name. The storm steps aside, letting the sun blanket over them. Zonie • January 21, 2026 • Digital • 43 mins.
