I’m looking for a little help with my PhD research: a service evaluation to understand how GPs assess and manage ppl presenting with #tinnitus & #hyperacusis.

If you’re a #GP, your insights are incredibly valuable. The short, confidential survey takes around 10–15 mins.

Doctors can't prescribe anything for tinnitus, so they think they can't do anything. At least in the UK, they can refer to audiology services. Resources from @tinnitusuk.bsky.social can be helpful, too, as self-management is universal

Good day yesterday - we had a School of Medicine post-grad event where I won the award for best discussion 🏆. My colleague and I then had a stroll round the lake on campus, picking up an ice cream 🍦 along the way - just what was needed to decompress 😀

Becoming a Chartered PR Practitioner was the best thing I've ever done in terms of professional development. It consolidated my learning by experience, it gave me confidence, and it shows the world that I am a strategic communications leader.

Arlo is a bit more subtle about wanting his bowl refilled ... Westley will come up and tell you!

It’s Tinnitus Week this week, led by the brilliant team at @TinnitusUK 👏 If you live with tinnitus, I know you you're all too aware of it. If you’re willing to share how your GP has helped you manage it (or not), I’d really value hearing from you.

Off to London today, hence the #trainselfie. I'm attending the launch of @tinnitusuk.bsky.social 's Tinnitus Week report at the House of Lords. Rather smart!

Looking forward to seeing others from the tinnitus community and catching up!

Daffodils are such a cheerful flower and a reminder that winter and darkness always pass. And at £1 a bunch, they are an absolute bargain - I've filled this jug for a couple of quid, and the colour and scent really lift the spirits!

We had a great day in Ipswich yesterday - lunch at Noodle 92 and then off to New Wolsey Theatre, where we saw a three person production of David Copperfield. I'm not a Dickens fan, but this was excellent - engaging, energetic, funny, moving.

So today’s win: the protocol for my realist synthesis has been published on PROSPERO 🎉 It’s a clear statement of intent, and the official starting line for a lot of work ahead (not least of which are 2852 of papers to screen to decide whether they are included in the review). 2/3
