An Afternoon out in Sheffield riding the trams today.

The greatest gathering 2025 at Derby Litchurch lane.
It really was a special event, and a day out I will remember for years to come.

I tried buying a child Priv single from Stourbridge Town-Junction once and the guy couldn’t sell it to me because it was that cheap the card reader wouldn’t take it. 🤣

An afternoon out at the Midland railway Butterley today for their Rail 200 gala event. Let’s just say there was a lot of Red 66’s knocking around. You could say it was a Red Shed Redemption.

I’ve had a great weekend up in Newcastle. Riding the Old metrocars as well as the new 555’s which will soon replace them. I also took a trip on the newly re opened Northumberland line from Newcastle to Ashington.
Then this Morning/Afternoon I paid a visit to the North Tyneside steam railway.

Took me by surprise while waiting for my train to work. Always fun to see the Flying banana running, helping to keep our railways safe!

LSL’s Royal Scot at Chester today. On a private charter from Crewe to Holyhead. This was royal Scot’s last ever run, before going in for a large overhaul by LSL.
Royal Scot was joined by 40013 andania on the rear, as 40 years ago today she was withdrawn from BR service at Crewe.

Here’s some pictures from my South Pennines Day Ranger trip which I did yesterday. I visited: Manchester, Leeds, Wakefield and Sheffield. And some other places in between.
Manage to hitch a ride on a 91 and a 67 set too!
Overall a good day out.
