Just downloaded this. It’s brilliant thanks.
Yes, I find it overwhelming. Also have lost hearing in one ear so have been through some tests to work out if anything else is going on.
Telling people helps me. I tend to focus in on the internal sounds so appear to not be listening when really I’m trying so hard to hear what’s being said.
We are done!

An image divided into two sections. The left section has a black background with bold white text that reads: "There were no effective routes for respondents to be informed about restraint and seclusion, to contribute to behaviour plans, or to recommend alternatives that would eliminate the use of restrictive practices." Below this, the logo for the International Coalition Against Restraint and Seclusion (ICARS) is displayed. The right section features a textured orange background with black text in a quotation format: "There was a sense that the school believed my child was wilfully refusing to follow instructions, when in fact he was so distressed he was no longer able to follow verbal instructions. The school refused to put in place strategies to support my child." At the bottom, the text credits "The ICARS Report Restraint and Seclusion in England’s Schools © 2023" and includes the website "theicarsreport.com" along with "PAGE 22 / 40" in the lower right corner.
Parents deserve to be informed, included, and empowered to help eliminate harmful practices in schools. Yet, many are left out of critical decisions, and children are misunderstood instead of supported. It's time for change. #AgainstRestraint #DyingForAnEducation
