maybe one day i'll get the guts to talk to someone at my school about how my specific (white and non-latino) AP spanish teacher has consistently mistreated her latino students and acted creepy and prejudiced towards them. but that aside the curriculum itself reeks of othering

honestly i don't know what i expected from the AP spanish program as a spanish speaker but i'm honestly so appalled how everyone is ok with the curriculum when it's essentially built around othering latinos and comparing their culture to the usa (because the usa is the only country ever)
