Just noticed that the official #DreadDelusion OST is finally available 💜

(and it works great with #LucidBlocks too)
ahh, why does 4AM coffee always smell so good ☕

I have a feeling #Metro2039 will be my GOTY in the same way #KCD2 was last year 💜

the #Metro2039 trailer looks promising 💜
Of course bsky would break the one time I post a selfie, my inner critic was right, things always go bad when I'm perceived as a corporeal entity😄
If you see this, quote with a picture of you in glasses
REPLACED is now available!

Set in an alternate 1980s America scarred by nuclear catastrophe, navigate a dark cyberpunk thriller in this narrative-driven 2.5D platformer blending cinematic exploration with fluid, free-flow action.
Just noticed that #Control is barely 4€ at the moment: www.gog.com/en/game/cont...
Very highly recommended, it's a masterpiece
On one hand, I'm happy to hear about a new #Metro (I adore the whole series, especially Exodus).
But any enthusiasm is tainted by immediately worrying that it will have some random key rebind issues like most releases these days.
Last shot from the Integrity capsule as it begins to hit Earth's atmosphere, flame beginning to wreath the capsule.
On the most serious note: holding my breath. Godspeed, Artemis II crew. See you in a few minutes.
I don't remember seeing an image of Earth before that captures the (thin, fragile, tiny layer of) atmosphere so clearly. I mean, look at that.
The Moon is tidally locked so one side always faces us.
From that side, Earth is a permanent fixture in the sky 13 times larger and 43 times brighter than the Moon appears from Earth.
Four humans photographed this.
Every crater in this frame is older than any life on land.
Artemis II
A bit of a different take on the amazing Artemis II launch footage.
Here I stitched clips from the four Solar Array Wing Cameras to make this panoramic video.
This is during the later part of the Core Stage burn until MECO and stage separation, sped up to 10x. 🔭🧪 #Artemis
Hayao Miyazaki films start in his sketches—his "image boards." It’s a habit he’s kept up for 60 years.
He works fast and loose, mainly in pencil and watercolor. Perfection isn't the goal. But you can trace his growth through the pictures. We explore:

something strange and horrible and somehow fitting that we should have a very real threat of madman civilizational destruction at the very moment when we also have humans on the dark side of the moon taking pictures that show how small, precious, and beautiful our world and existence is
Gave this the soundtrack it deserves. Kubrick was onto something when he picked the Blue Danube as the Theme of Objects Floating In Space.
Call me, Nutella
Got a new book, by a friend in games academia. Immediately floored by the inside quote.
Time for www.twitch.tv/nasa and the #OuterWilds OST
Bluesky is made with AI, the engineers and even some non-engineers use Claude code
Spectacular high-resolution image of our home planet viewed through the Orion Crew Module window by the Artemis II astronauts as they continue their journey to the Moon on Flight Day 2, 3 April 2026 (pic: NASA)
A full disc image of Earth, as seen from the Orion Crew Module. The planet is a pale blue, swirling with white clouds and glowing slightly lighter blue in place from reflected light. At lower left, a large brown landmass is Africa, with Spain and Portugal with twinkling lights where the planet curves. At top right, auroras glow in a thin green glow, just barely separated from the planet's surface. Earth is set against the black of space (pic: NASA/R.Wiseman)
😮 Awesome views from Day 2 of #Artemis II this morning.

guess who has two thumbs and needs to swap most components and redo the entire cabling of two computers just because one tiny screw broke in the case in a very inconvenient location x.x

a partially finished analytic 2D lighting solution, showing both the angular and radial component with a checkerboard pattern and color coding
I'm almost there it's so pretty!! 😭
this is the first time I've made extensive use of complex numbers in shader code, which has been fun!
it's an analytic 2D lighting system through piecewise conformal maps representing angular light/"sky" exposure, which means you get fully analytic penumbras!
Happy anniversary to one of my favorite games 🎉
Always a good time to mention the excellent soundtrack is available on #Bandcamp: jimguthrie.bandcamp.com/album/sword-...
One of the few albums that never leaves my phone regardless of disk space left 💜

Placeholder assets in a game should look obnoxiously temporary, so obvious that no one would mistake it for the final asset. In past games we've used the doge dog (rip) as an icon, hot pink versions of characters, our CEO's head, etc.
If you use a temp asset that seems passable, it may stay there.
