Ah. I worked on the promo video for that song.
Don't ask me what it was like (or whether I got paid).

If someone is a risk maybe the most fully effective safety measure would be not giving them the job. Just an idea.

It's a piece of journalism, not a PhD thesis. Almost any blind or otherwise disabled pedestrian in London will tell you that the traffic they most fear now is two-wheeled. Cyclists have created a road safety crisis in cities and they need to stop playing the victim and own it.

E-bikers killed in collisions with cars are not necessarily "killed by motorists". They may be killed by the same recklessness of their own that leads them to kill pedestrians. By "anecdotes" of e-bikes killing pedestrians you presumably mean recorded instances.

Banning e-bikes might go a long way towards offering a solution. You never know.

They probably got their reasons, though.

A shame we haven't got some sort of system of carrying around, I dunno, little paper or metal tokens representing different values of money that we could exchange for a kebab so this sort of thing couldn't happen.

Charging foreign tourists to go to museums is a really terrible idea. How could they possibly demarcate between tourists and foreign nationals who are working or studying in the country. Plus all the other reasons you identified. It'll result in fewer tourists AND fewer UK citizens visiting museums.

It seems to happen to all of them eventually. They have nowhere to go but mad.

Exactly. We've had a moderate degree of imprecision replaced by full-on hallucinatory chaos.

Trump is incapable of acknowledging that his own actions should have to be justified. He literally couldn't comprehend the idea.

Elephant and Castle skyline plan would beam lights into the night sky Southwark Council has outlined a plan to turn the Elephant and Castle area into its own Blade Runner, by beaming lights into the night sky.

This is a really stupid idea.

There are some otherwise intelligent people around who simply aren't capable of comprehending what could possibly be wrong with colourisation. They'll tell you that if colour film had been economically available since 1895 everybody would have always used it, as if that's a coherent killer argument.

The original production at the Royal Court theatre, London, included the aloof, faceless, scarcely visible character of the Auditor, who is present in Beckett's text but is usually excluded in modern productions. It did give a different and much larger stage picture than the film suggests.
