ResoniteのThe Splittening、とても楽しみ。
軽量化よりも楽しみにしているのは、Unityクラッシュした時に、Resoniteごと落ちずにそのままUnityが自動再起動される機能。
フレームレートの低さよりも、高頻度なクラッシュは離脱の大きな要因になる。
さらに、この問題は特定のユーザーに対して高頻度で発生するので、そのユーザーの孤立に繋がってしまう😭
実は一番楽しみにしている機能です。クラッシュしても復活するって、魔法みたいだし

I was going to make a short devlog on how @resonite.com can shut down again with The Splittening (since it's two processes now it had to be reworked) and it turned into a full Black Mesa ride x3

I’m not exaggerating—I make it a daily ritual to check Resonite’s devlog and update log every morning, and I really look forward to it. It’s like waking up on Christmas morning to see if Santa has left any presents.

Stuff is kinda taking shape now with a bunch of fixups, but also... I CAN PROPERLY DEBUG NOW.

I do think that more people who play the platform showing off "Look at the fun stuff we do" in different places would help the platform and I've been pondering of ways to incentivize that.

Something like quick video recording in-game with easy share linking to different social media maybe?

This is a Resonite headless server running on the Poco F1, and I have a music visualizer being rendered on it in chromium that's being encoded using venus and streamed into the session

Does “THE SPLITTENING” include the feature you previously mentioned in a video, where if Unity crashes, the internal Unity renderer restarts automatically? My friends and I are really looking forward to this functionality!!!
