Not going to lie, this is the first time I've seen the DL widget rotated 90° outside the livery :o

TWC Extended Forecast in the classic 1990s vibe.
If you're like us, and you grew up with 1990s The Weather Channel, they've now got that available on their website.
Enjoy.
You're welcome.

On March 29, 1991, a 757, powered by only one of its engines, took off, circled, and landed at the 11,621-foot-high Gongga Airport in Tibet. The airplane performed perfectly even though the airfield was in a box canyon surrounded by peaks more than 16,400 feet high.
The Boeing 757 would like to remind you that it is better and cooler than anything else flying.

Ikarus 692 Airport Bus -- basically a bus with a front end that elevates to become an enclosed staircase to the plane
Ikarus 695, i think
unsure what the model number is, but the entire front of the bus opens up and a staircase extends out of it.
just learned about these (prototype?) airport buses from the 80s, i believe all from the Serbian (then Yugoslavian) company Ikarus
Now more than ever I’m convinced losing Anthony Bourdain meant we lost probably the biggest person on tv who advocated for the wonders of meeting new people and calling anyone online who hated learning new cultures the children they were, ruthlessly to the camera.
Big plans, their parent company has a lot of real estate/entertainment/tourism holdings all over Vietnam. Vertical integration it seems

The latest Brussels Airlines Belgian Icon TinTin livery is a stunner.
A320 OO‑SNJ wears a moon and space theme, because “its connection to aviation through flight, altitude, and exploration made it a natural fit, while its clean aesthetic ensured a refined and balanced livery.”

Always kinda fun when I run into airplanes I've flown on before, this one in 2022 AMS-YYC. Saw it last weekend buttoning up for Paris CDG as WS10.

Tail 401 has been withdrawn from service. It was the first A320 delivered to Canadian Airlines pre-merger with Air Canada.

Palette cleanser, Lufthansa retro A321 from 2016.
The UA, NW, and BD liveries always gave a classy "business-like" feel, which IMO makes them some of my faves
There's much less colour in the skies these days, white seems to be the de facto base livery for most airlines. It wasn't always like this however, British Midland at Heathrow, United Airlines at Los Angeles, Northwest Airlines at Phoenix and Pacific Blue at Sydney pictured here.

I usually do single track lines to transport goods. Can't make anything useful beyond a double track line lol
Signals were (and are) one of the most frustrating and rewarding parts of OpenTTD. To this day I don't still fully grasp how to use em lol
Our big look at why clickbait articles on accessibility at airports are ill-informed or wrong and, frankly, often tinged with racism.
The air industry has a duty to call this out, and admit it contributes to the perception by creating airport environments hostile to even minor mobility issues.
30 years ago this week, Alaska Airlines became the first U.S. carrier to sell tickets online.
On December 27, 1995, AS touted you could buy a ticket "within 3 to 10 minutes" on the web. Using Netscape.
1995 was quite the mirror image of AS' IT challenges in 2025. news.alaskaair.com/alaska-airli...
They also have an A330 in that scheme. Previously they had a 737-800 in that livery along with another one in the 1950s colors
