It's a lot of work for us to gather high-quality images but admins on Fandom have been taking our content without any attribution, and we've been ignored when we reached out to them about this.
Fandom also prohibits linking to us so we cannot be properly sourced anyway.
Regardless, the point is being blindsighted. Zelda Wiki shouldn't have to watermark images at all simply because a competitor site refuses to do any amount of work to generate their own content OR properly accredit materials they use from other sites. It's laziness at best, malicious theft at worst
Again, copyright of the image being captured is not identical to the property that the image contains; the zelda game is nintendo, the screenshot of the zelda game is the capturer. This is seen in practice with sites like IGN, GameFAQs, Famitsu, and many more.

The TMWA has begun to roll out policies on its sites, forbidding the use of Generative AI for articles and images. This is the first major step to keeping wikis a protected internet space and to minimize spam and fraudulent information.

After two months of collaborative effort, the TMWA, Splatoon Fandom editors, and Inkipedia editors have filed a takedown to Fandom about plagiarism on Splatoon Fandom wiki. Now, a video has been made on the subject going into more detail. Please watch and share: youtu.be/igi65cd3UuU
As of 5 September 2024, the TMWA has worked with Inkipedia to file a formal takedown against Fandom Splatoon wiki for rampant plagiarism. With 552 revisions worth of stolen content, the cases are widespread in perpetration and over time. More information to follow.
Through efforts by the TMWA, wikibound.info/wiki/WikiBound WikiBound migrated to the OpenWiki platform in April. We could still use a lot of help updating templates and visual design to modernize the site. Please consider joining today!
In the past week, over 2000 bad tags have been corrected across a span of 14 wikis. There's still a lot left to handle, but the successes of this effort are already paying off with faster response times and better SEO boosting.
Inkipedia now has a fully operational Splashtag emulator/generator. Users can now re-create their own as seen in-game, or copy the officially released Splashtags for documentation.
