I remember watching this live with my husband and we could not believe they cut his mic. We were so pissed. He was right then and his point still stands today.

Once libraries are nonexistent any modern fascist movement wouldn't even have to burn books, but flick one switch and they'd be remotely deleted from your Amazon Kindle or similar digital "library".

Capitalists are already building the infrastructure to do this through DRM, so stop believing tech is apolitical - the defunding of libraries and paywalling of information are all part of this.

A reminder during #NationalLibraryWeek, libraries are our best and last defense against the fascist monopoly on knowledge and information

People keep debating whether Epstein is more tied to Russia or Israel without understanding it's the same people: dual Russia/Israeli citizens involved in organized crime. The modern roots of this operation, going back to the 1980s, are detailed in the excerpt from HIDING IN PLAIN SIGHT below.

Cheers welcome Artemis II astronauts home after record-breaking trip The crew of four arrived at Ellington Field near NASA's Johnson Space Center and Mission Control, flying in from San Diego, where they splashed down just offshore the evening before.

Still marveling over their moon mission, the Artemis II astronauts received a thunderous welcome home Saturday from hundreds who took part in NASA's lunar comeback that set a record for deep space travel.

100% this. We were right the whole time, they don’t get to take that away from us by claiming we are agreeing with them now. And we don’t have to hand it to them. The only hand of mine they get is the one with a big ole middle finger sticking up.

A conversation with ‘The Last American Roadtrip’ author Sarah Kendzior When Sarah Kendzior started writing about St. Louis in 2013, the journalist and researcher had already established a far-flung readership in a media landscape then in the throes of major seismic shifts.  She had just earned her doctorate in anthropology from Washington University in St. Louis, where she quickly became regarded as an expert in […]

New interview about my book THE LAST AMERICAN ROAD TRIP! I actually did this interview in 2025, but the magazine printed it yesterday for the paperback release.

The amazing, letter-perfect performance of NASA this week is a ferocious rebuke to the right-wing fools who constantly tell us that for-profit businesses always do a job better than the government.

St. Louis mayor sues Missouri to stop state takeover of the city's police department Gov. Mike Kehoe signed a law last year that took direct control of the police department away from the mayor’s office and shifted it to a board mostly appointed by the governor. It's similar to the system in place in Kansas City, which itself has been the subject of multiple lawsuits.

That is so crazy to me b/c I associate small businesses with better quality, better customer service and way more unique items than big box stores who are owned by billionaires and private equity that do not give a shit about quality or service anymore.
