When the bad thing happens (These are thoughts I’ve been trying for about 2 weeks to get from my brain to my fingers.

I’m not on here much. But I wrote some things I believe are important to say all the places I can say things.

Defense may win championships. But defensiveness destroys persons and peoples.

Jong-Fast: This would be the largest cut to food assistance in US history—and it will result in hungry kids.

It’s also important to mention that this bill grows the deficit. I don’t know how it manages to do the two things you absolutely don’t want—starve children and grow the deficit—but it does.

It’s not corruption unless it comes from the Corruption region of France, otherwise it’s just sparkling grift

I need clarification. Five pencils a day? A week? A month? A semester? A school year? Also, have I been supplying pencils out of my own pocket and these kids have been sitting on 250 pencils each? Or is that how many are in their backpack after they “lose” mine daily? What is even happening?

Just got off the phone with Mrs Sicknick and just more slaps in the face with this settlement. She asked "why did my son die" (in response to all the whitewashing that is being done about January 6th) if it was a day of love, why is my son dead"

Total miscarriage of justice

So awkward when the president won’t stop talking about locking up criminals and he’s been convicted of 34 felonies

Thank you. That is an appropriate response. I almost unfollowed the guy who made the real. But. It’s PJs fault.

I mean. His explanation from just the movies made sense. Movie Faramir is trying so hard to earn his dad’s approval that he puts Frodo and the Ring at risk. ITS JUST THE OPPOSITE OF WHO FARAMIR IS AND WHAT HE ACTUALLY DOES.
it burns us.

I saw a reel on ig today re: LotR is full of nontoxic masculinity (true) & toxic masculinity (true).
But. Y’all. He used Faramir, prince of Ithilien, as an example of toxic masculinity.
I got so viscerally angry at Peter Jackson. And at the man who did not do the reading.
Rankin & Bass would never.

Star Wars Intro Scroll

Episode IV
It Was All So Stupid

Seriously, you would not believe how stupid it was. Every day, unrelentingly, just the dumbest stuff by the absolute worst people. And what made it worse was knowing that we’d brought this on ourselves.

New from me @sfjournal.bsky.social. I find the link between Christian nationalism & authoritarianism extends to the home. Specifically, Christian nationalism predicts adults prioritizing kids' obedience over independent thought & hard spanking as the way to keep kids in line.

I care much less about that than the predatory and hypocritical character of both men.

I am once again BEGGING progressive men to stop minimizing Clinton’s sexual predation and abuse of power. Stop. It. Like it’s not all of how we got here but it’s part of it. Also. Just don’t.

11yo just watched Rose get trapped in Pete’s world for the first time and sat up SO rigid straight when 10 said “Rose Tyler” then disappear. So. I’m killing the Easter weekend parenting.

This is an obvious point, but cannot overstated. There is an enormous difference between deporting someone - where they get off a plane as a free citizen in their home country AND FUNNELING THEM INTO A BRUTAL PRISON FROM WHICH THEY HAVE NO CHANCE OF EVER EMERGING!!!
