The enemy of your enemy is not always your friend.
I may have issues with Mr Union here, but in this case he isn’t wrong. On both sides of the Gauntlet there are forces that seek all of our destruction.
Vet your sources, folks

//Never in my wildest dreams did I figure I’d be the (unofficial) voice of the Virtual Adepts, but here we are…
I bought these when I was collecting Star Frontiers books. It was such a weird thing for TSR to have done.
//it’s been fun to interact with you, that’s for sure. You’ve done a very good job encapsulating the Technocratic idea and their blind-spots, even while modernizing them.
Bruce Wayne, Diana Prince, and Hal Jordan, though Hal was probably closer to Kyle Rayner in age and personality.
Main villains were the Red Hood (punisher-like vigilante), Deathstroke, and “John Broome” (Sinestro), though we had quite a few rogue gallery cameos.
I did. My “Streets of Gotham” was played concurrent with the last few seasons of the show and while I may have gone a bit non-canon at times (didn’t expect certain characters like Deathstroke to show up on TV) it was definitely a Smallville show.
Yeah, you’ve probably heard it all before, haven’t you?
Fair enough. I’ll leave you to your sterile musings
Here’s the thing: You folk came to be from the excesses of the Traditions, but have just become the very the thing you fought against.
When your Mistridge comes, I shudder to think what malformed faction is formed from your Technocratic carcass.
But I’ll know its name…and I think you will too…
I do. Not a fan of any Primal extraction from Sleepers. Same goes for the Hermetics, Cultists, etc.
However, you literally forged a new Consensus. I figured the whole “protector of the masses” would come up with something less exploitive.
Silly me.
Shrug. The Technocracy literally invents ways to extract Prime from the wonder of the “Masses” and discusses it like you’re writing a dinner review.
I don’t know what else to say…
I don’t need to make you look like anything.
“Maximum Extraction”
The Unseelie have a more appropriate term:
Ravaging.
The picture is from better days. She is skeletal thin now and in constant pain. I choose to see her when she was healthy and mischevious.
Today my buddy and bestest cat in the whole world, Mylie, will have to be put down - age and illness makes her life a constant struggle. She was my (now) wife's cat, but embraced me immediately. I will miss her cuddles and companionship.
I love you so much Mylie... I wish I could have done more..
We really learned nothing from the d20 era, didn’t we?
Yeah, I wish they’d stop threatening us with a good time
I hear you. I have lots of opinions about IRL happenings but 1) people don’t need to hear (progressive) old man yelling at clouds and 2) BluSky is a bastion of normality for me in a sea of chaos. So I keep my geo-political views to myself
#OnePiece
Finished One Piece Live Action Season 2, I loved it.
The OG was a HUGE inspiration for Tales of the Haunted Blue.
My story isn't as impactful or as full of whimsy, but I'm proud of it nonetheless.

It’s been 23 years, why can’t they let this franchise die?
You have to stop - I was quite comfortable in my grognard ways and now you sold me on FATE, Questworlds, AND one-page RPGs. Next thing you’ll convince me diceless games are viable and I don’t think I could survive that particular existential crisis…
Says the technocrat who took umbrage with the term “mystical”
But yeah, I am certainly not going to debate you about this again.
Says the folks who have cloaked their magick in so much technobabble mumbo jumbo that many of them have forgotten they were Mages
I am sure you do.
My statement stands
Isn't that your entire schtick?

And while I have no inside information, I am sure these maps will be repurposed for other Trek media. I wouldn’t be surprised to see it appear in a sourcebook for a certain “Adventures” RPG I know and love…
I admit I liked it at the time, but the more I rewatched it and glimpsed past the buffyspeaking space western veneer the more I had serious issues I had with it. I am just happy to let it pass quietly into irrelevance like Joss himself.
