@soundloungecio.bsky.social Brilliant night watching Sophie Lukacs at the Sound Lounge in Sutton. A small but very appreciative audience.

The wonderful Maz O'Connor takes to the Live to your Living Room tonight at 8pm, where she will be debuting her latest album 'Love it is a Killing Thing'.
A must listen for fans of 1960s and 1970s folk.

They are still amazing and hold up really well on a small screen.
Having just watched the 3 films again, I agree & I think the reason is because we actually got real characters in FOTR. In 2 & 3 all the new characters (apart from Smegal backstory) just got aired brushed in when required and all the budget was spent on huge battle scenes which were boring to me.
Pack your bags, charge your batteries, #InverteFest begins at midnight your time.

It's 20 December, the day The Dark Is Rising begins, and when I and others usually start to read a chapter a day. We recently read it in our book club, so I'm going to listen to this wonderful adaptation by @robgmacfarlane.bsky.social instead. Best Christmas book of all

They want to stamp out kindness and empathy because they think people alone are easier to subjugate than people together and theyre right
This song breaks my heart.
"So I won't so blindfolded
to the multitude of lies
to the one night only corporate sponsored
idea of pride
Let's not forget where this all started
lives lost on our streets,
while they're selling us rainbow coloured
packets of sweets."

This is wonderful news, and also means it’s time for me to beat the drum I always do when HPV vaccines make the news:
They are not only for women! HPV also causes penile, anal, and head and neck cancers. The latter are particularly deadly. Please vaccinate ALL your children.
As everyone knows, the ancient season of #Yule officially begins on November 21st, when the #BoxOfDelights was first screened on the BBC back in 1984. That makes it five days until the Box is opened...

Utterly disgusted by this dismal disappointment of a govt
On the eve of last year’s General Election, an RPO survey found that 76% of adults want to ‘see the new Government do more to support arts and culture in Britain’. This has now risen to 85%. Survey says that public wants to see decisive action on music access, provision and funding.

Comic. [Person sitting at desk with laptop with machine labeled E-21 making “click click” noises on the floor behind] VOICE FROM LAPTOP: Hey all! Does your E-21 humidifier make an annoying clicking noise? Mine did, but I finally figured out that there’s an easy fix, so I made this video in case anyone else… PERSON AT DESK: Oh my god. Yes. *Yes.* [caption] I know there’s more important work in the world, but I feel like these people deserve, at minimum a statue.

X is a cesspit led by an unhinged billionaire who is desperately trying to stir up civil war in Britain.
Nobody with any sense or decency should be there.
No organisations, government departments, or politicians should be there.
Everyone who is, is enabling this monster.
If you're thinking of South London venues for this, CryerArts cryerarts.co.uk in Carshalton or SoundLounge www.thesoundlounge.org.uk in Sutton are both community run venues that might be suitable.

I've seen Maddy Morris live twice & ended up with tears streaming. Their way of telling stories through song is exceptional & makes me very angry that people like (and unlike) them feel unsafe. They have a new EP out soon, I've seen some live at Purbeck and it's gorgeous.

Sorry, for barging into your feed, but that photo just unlocked memories. I had this book and forgotten about it, but it was iconic in its time. I never really got on with C and we had an uncoupling when I moved onto COBOL and PL1.
THE SECRET PROJECT I'VE BEEN WORKING ON FOR THE PAST FEW MONTHS IS FINALLY LIVE
