Right wingers using George Orwell’s work to prove a point despite Orwell being an open democratic socialist will never not be funny to me. He’s one of those examples of when a historical figures views are whitewashed to hell and back making them seem less radical than they actually are.

I’ve seen his stuff before! I’ve mostly seen his Guro style work and it’s great stuff from what I’ve seen!

Junji Ito is one of my all time favourite artists in general. From Uzumaki and Tomie to Gyo and his adaptation of No Longer Human, his work captures a kind of surreal, creeping dread that makes his horror so intimate.

I wasn’t going to get Pokopia but I keep seeing so much praise for it and some of it are from people critical of Pokemon’s recent direction. I’m willing to give it a try and compare it to Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream.

My biggest gripe is how samey the levels feel. They intertwine and bleed into one another in a way that strips each area of its own identity, making it hard to feel a real sense of progression.

So I’ve been playing this for a while and I do really like things about it. The 30s noir cartoon aesthetic is a standout and it doesn’t take itself too seriously, and that charm goes a long way. However, as a boomer shooter at its core, the gameplay itself needed more spice to match the style.

That said, even I had no idea why he uploaded Minecraft With Gadget because it was the most unfunny videos I have ever seen. Like now it’s a masterpiece but back then the hate it got was definitely warranted.

So I have something to admit. When Mike took over Cinemassacre, I actually quite liked a fair amount of his videos. I was very interested in what he had to say about retro games and since I was a young teen I also liked his edgier and cruder sense of humour compared to James.

So I actually decided to get Mouse P.I. For Hire just so I can play it for myself since I was interested in it since it was announced as it actually looks like something creative being made out of something being put in the public domain.
