Two kids sitting on a lakeside dock.
First attempt at tricolor #cyanotype
Digital negatives, madder root extract for the magenta, bleached with washing soda.
americans, please: do not take the bait by resisting ICE yourselves. just give the democrats $20. they will give it to ICE so they can train more guys
Thank you!
Could I ask what tripod that is? From the angle it looks light but still stable.
It comes with a plastic frame that you stick in like a film holder to compose and focus. After that's all set, you switch backs and expose it.

The Bill Buckner of Illinois
Classic "flower power" Vietnam protest photo except the hippie is putting malort, a hot dog, and a rainbo cone in the military's gun barrels instead of flowers.
Chicago, IL 2025
Pocket watch on a tintype plate. Slightly out of focus because why not.
Back in the tintype lab after a break. First time using an elderly copper lens. All the veiling is from sloppiness and not a strained metaphor. #tintype #alternativephotography
Why do they still have to dress like trees?
Juxtaposition!
Oh yeah. #tintype
Tintype.
Fun stuff.
Tintype picture of a tiny waving bear doll next to a flower.
Tons of mistakes while I'm learning tintypes and this is incredibly fun. An extra flick of the wrist when you pour the developer or dropping the plate in the silver bath a little slower than before will completely transform the result. Like learning to drive stick on a go-kart. #largeformat
Took it home and put it on a light table. Reversed it in LR mobile. Gonna try to print it. Would really like to find out what year that car is so I can figure out what this was take on and ~when.
Wooden frame with a black background
Back of wooden frame with two clasps on the back that indicate it's for photographic contact printing. "Eastman Printing Frame" and "Eastman Kodak" are stamped on the back.
Was going through some boxes in my parents' basement and saw that an old frame was, in fact, an oddly-sized contact frame whose black background is instead an ancient LF negative. My dad said he found it in the basement of the IN house that they lived in in the 80s, and just held onto it. (1/2)
Add an exclamation point to improve a title.
Man. Rahm's so obsolete that a decade ago he couldn't even get help a guy named Daley get enough votes to hit the runoffs of a Chicago mayoral election.
Excellent. The alignment looks purposeful - like how there used to be a minuscule shift on label cuts or colors when they would go down an assembly line that had been running a while.
What type of vinyl cutter did you use? That looks really clean!
Outhouse went and got blown up.
I once thought rabbits were the most stressed-seeming creatures out there but: no. Cicadas.
Thank you!!
Would you recommend the Intrepid for a beginner? I've been wanting to get into 4x5 and keep coming back to that one as a possibility. (assuming that one on the left is an Intrepid?)
