Death of Haitian immigrant in southwestern Pa. still an unsettling mystery seven weeks later • Pennsylvania Capital-Star Daphy Michel, a Haitian national who lived in Charleroi, was found in a South Shore bus shelter on March 2.

ICE took Daphy Michel Michel, a 31-year-old Haitian immigrant with an active asylum claim, from the Washington County jail, without notifying her family.

Three days later, she was found unresponsive inside a bus shelter and later pronounced dead at a hospital.

911 calls capture kids burning with fever, struggling to breathe at ICE detention center EMS crews were called to the Dilley Immigration Processing Center in Texas at least 11 times since September for children in medical distress, records show.

Many of these medical emergencies could have been prevented if children detained at the Dilley Immigration Processing Center had been given adequate care.

Refugees do not choose to come here - by definition, they were forced to flee.

Scrapping permanent status will trap refugees in a state of insecurity and fear. This is inhumane cruelty.
