Cilantro is a curse.

Were you the lucky Buy Nothing-er who got my Penzeys Pico Fruta?! I didn’t read the ingredients when I bought a bunch of blends from them and I don’t eat cilantro!

Fresh corn salad: cut off three or four cobs worth, slice a cup or so of grape tomatoes, two or three baby cucumbers, chives or shallots minced into oblivion, two lemons worth of juice and a big glug of olive oil to season I like Tajin and lemon pepper. Add grated or crumbled cheese to taste.

Microwave or instant pot or air fryer? Sometimes these appliances keep it cooler than the stove and oven. I’m making a corn salad later on in the week. And you can bake potatoes and boil eggs in the instant pot.

These are the days for no-cook meals. Tonight it’s charcuterie and watermelon salad. Fresh mint but I subbed cotija for the feta cheese.

I coveted this so much as a kid.

If you ever wanted to know how long it takes two grown ass people to use up a Costco roll of cling wrap - in our case it took us about 12 years and two house moves!
