Gah!!! That's a lot! I is scared!

They're setting up a sniper's nest in the first pic. :p
The guy is patting himself on the back for "solving" a problem that he wholly caused.
I still don't put it past him to break the cease fire because he spilled ketchup on his sleeve.
Portugal has been listed as one of the better countries to move to in order to escape the US. Guess that's a no-go now.
I can see, in a year, maybe two, the bills being passed in Kansas, Idaho, New Hampshire starting to insinuate into moderate states, eventually to a national level as the conservative media machine keeps dragging trans people through the mud. We've already seen a decline in acceptance the past years.
I can see the writing on the wall. "Conservatives" have tacked so hard to the right, and democrats are leaning hard right just to keep up. "Progressive" democrats are shunned/ignored. People are catering to the worst of the worst. That bodes ill for the future for trans people.
I spent the last week writing up this essay on what it means to be trans in this moment. What it means to live under authoritarianism as the scapegoated minority of the moment and how it feels inescapable as an infinite loop.

So, what stage of Transgender Genocide are we at now here in the US?
Imagine lighting your house on fire so you can heat your house without electricity, oil or natural gas. Then imagine standing outside your burning house complaining that the bedrooms caved in, your stuff was destroyed & fire is spreading to your garage. This is the US/Iran war in a nut shell.
As terrible as things are becoming in the US for trans people, I feel horrible for what’s happening in the UK.
Ahhhh! Okay, that makes sense. Thank you for the clarification.
I’m glad the ruling helps people in those states.
That’s odd. I have Aetna as my health insurer, live in CT and was able to get extensive FFS done and covered by my health insurer using a CT surgeon almost a year ago. I didn’t know there was a blanket denial on such.
This is the problem with both political parties, with government, and an ever-growing segment of the population. "We're moving too far to the left. We need to focus on the center." Meanwhile, MAGA is dragging us by the hair further & further to the right & outright fascism. Trans people be damned.
You're gonna be on Daylight Savings Time all year round?! Lucky! That's awesome!
Funny, since when can a state attorney general legislate people as being illegal.
The trauma of the past is a part of us, always. It does not define us unless we allow it to. I have known you for many years now and I can say that you are among the most intelligent and caring people I know. I am happy & proud to call you mine, and see a happy life for both of us going forward.
2) Because it wasn't upholding International Law, when the administration invaded Venezuela, murdered dozens of people and kidnapped their president and first lady.
3) Because it wasn't Making America Great Again, when Trump added tariffs that raised inflation, bankrupted companies, put farmers in dire straits & decreased job growth. When Trump cut funding to medicaid & SNAP, didn't extended the ACA subsidies to help over 10 million families afford healthcare.
4) Because it wasn't Protecting Children by Prosecuting Pedophiles, when Trump's DOJ redacted the names of perpetrators & left open names & personal information for the victims in the Epstein Files, & refuses to release half of the documents in govt possession, despite a law demanding otherwise.
5) Because it wasn't following the US Constitution, when Trump has stated that he will run for a 3rd term as president, or that he will simply stop or greatly negatively impact the 2026 midterm elections.
6) And now, Trump declaring war on Iran, without a word from Congress. Bombing the heads of the state, killing young girls in school, putting our service men & women in harms way, as well as endangering Middle Eastern allies. Why Negotiations were going well & were to be extended into next week.
So, I ask again, where do you draw the line? How depraved does Trump have to be before you step back away & say "that's too evil for me". Because, if you're still supporting this convicted felon, pedophile, war monger, dictator-wannabe today; you're not a good person. Not by any stretch of the word.
So MAGA base, MAGA supporters...where do you draw the line?
1) Because it wasn't the Rule of Law, when the administration ignores due process, ignores the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th & 14th amendments of the US constitution.
In other words, if they are willing to do this to an AI company that doesn't surrender to Trump's will...they are willing to do that to anyone that doesn't surrender to Trump's will.
I am not a supporter of AI companies.
However, the important facts to glean from this latest action is that 1) the government WANTS to do wholly evil & dastardly things with AI, and 2) they are willing to gut a corporation that doesn't fall in line. That speaks volumes should be a warning to all.
I have no words. They're really pushing for Skynet, aren't they.
Naaa. A little jigsaw to trim the bottom of the guitar that's sticking out. Maybe a little sand paper to smooth the edges out afterwards. Easy peezy. :)
Gee, it’s almost as if taking away life saving healthcare ends in the death of people that need said healthcare. But the transphobic ghouls that enact these types of policies don’t care. It was never about saving lives or protecting children. ☹️
Wow! That looks much better than I thought it would!
I’m sure we’ll figure out something to secret in there. Maybe bake a few dozen cookies. 😊
