Red Bank NJ : I'm told there is video of this incident which shows the ped crossing against the lights and the vehicle hitting them off the crosswalk.
This image posted by a bystander seems to show something different unless the vehicle was re-positioned after the collision.

I used to pick up mine from the little newsagents which was in Bretonside bus station.
They'd get it straight off the London bus on Thursday evening ready for the Friday publication date.
Those old '60s/'70s editions are worth a fortune these days.
