Yesterday, Colorado tried to do us in; 40mph winds in Grand Junction, thunderstorms the rest of the way, boot deep water on the interstate. Today good weather saw us through “The Tunnel” at 11,198 feet. Our reward for persevering? Kansas. Highway 36! Flyover country my ass.
