I miss my hair

I do miss the brief period of time where DIY decided to move over here because it was overall such a nice community building moment, however it was never going to last because I fear drama is the unifying factor and nothing pushes vapid meaningless infighting more than twitter
I think it's lowkey hilarious that I post my 2am Political Nonsense on this account because my actual priv gets too much engagement to do so despite having less than 20 followers
Having siblings is insane because she's literally the worst person in my life and I hate her but also I would die for her. I can't wait for her to be 35 and realize how deeply she embarassed herself
I cannot be bothered to give a shit about what she's saying about me- I was 22 and a dumbass once; she'll grow up eventually I hope
Also you are not ever less deserving of respect, love, or friendship just because you're poor or disabled or queer. Anyone who thinks like that doesn't deserve to be a part of your life
Life is entirely too short for you to live a life you hate so that people you don't like will respect you. Anyone who says that your life isn't good enough because you didn't do x, y, z is selling you something.
It's infuriating to me that so many young people feel bad about themselves because they don't have the "right" job or "right" education. That doesn't exist; take that community college course, take that barista or cashier position, pursue the field you're interested in
Your worth is not defined by what you can produce or earn. Your worth comes from being there for the ones you love as much as you can, from learning what your passions are and pursuing them, from being a human being that is alive and trying their best
You aren't broken; Your brain works differently. You aren't lazy; you have executive dysfunction. You aren't worthless; you just aren't as useful to the capatalist pigs as some of your peers
Don't let people who don't have to live in your brain dictate how you feel about yourself
Genuinely being undiagnosed AuDHD ruined my life, so on the off chance anyone who was recently diagnosed with ADHD or Autism as an adult or knows they have it sees this: Your life gets so much fucking better once you stop trying to fight the current and start trying to work with it
I wish people on twitter would realize how much better they would feel if they stopped tweeting every single negative thought they had and went outside
I have a lot of time on my hands, so I'm working with a good friend to make a map of HOA districts within my home state for smart homebuyers who want to not get screwed over
Last week an elderly woman was forcibly evicted from her home two blocks away from my aunt, not because she wasn't paying her mortgage, but because she couldn't physically keep up with yard work + upkeep on the outside of her home. Yes, the HOA can legally do that
In the 1980s my great aunt fought to keep her neighborhood out of a newly formed HOA, that choice not to allow her block to be absorbed into it has saved her at least $50,000
HOA's should be illegal. I'll never be able to afford a house, but the minimal property value rise versus the $300+ monthly dues, constant surveilance, petty fees, threats of lawsuits over dumb shit make me NEVER want to live anywhere with a HOA
I’m a Brand New hater for life
Haha sorry I've asked you if you still fw me 7 times; it's just that your vibes are slightly different and I'm terrified you're gonna leave me
Ah yes, I am definitely normal and can totally be trusted to have a regular conversation without bringing up my current band hyperfixation
Corporations will find a way to continue making a profit during this economic crisis. Is is us, the regular people, who will lose our jobs, housing, and access to affordable food.
You can prevent a lot of pain and trauma in their lives by making sure they know they can come to you the first time someone does something bad to them. Let them know you care, and that if it does happen it's not their fault.
You can't stop every predator, but you can be a safe place for the young people in your life to come to when they're being hurt. Pay attention to your children and students, and if something seems wrong talk to them.
Adults in every music scene have a responsibility to ensure the saftey of minors in the space. Listen when they tell you something is wrong. Don't turn a blind eye to bad behavior behind the scenes. If you see something, say something.
The trans community has stayed alive while facing enormous obstacles and persecution by being a community. By taking others in and standing together. Mutual aid, emotional support, and protests are the history and the future. That matters, they matter, you matter. That's the point.
There is already a dedicated and consious effort on the right to smear the reputations of all trans folks to fit their narrative. They dehumanize their plight by rewriting their history into one of degeneracy. When the reality is that the story is one of community and love.
The puritanical nature of online discourse scares me because it was not so long ago that "deviants" were jailed for things like being gay, trans, or poly. It wasn't until 2003 that sodomy laws in the USA were ruled unconstitutional, and there are still 12 states where the laws remain on the books.
3x3 Wednesday
