The first proclamation of hope came from someone whose authority the culture of her time questioned — yet history remembers her as the one who carried the message forward.
Easter is not only a story about renewal and resurrection. It is also a reminder that truth is not determined by status, gender, or power.
Before institutions formed, before doctrines were debated, before authority was organized, the message of hope was entrusted to a woman whose voice society was not inclined to believe.
That detail matters.
In a world where women’s testimony carried little legal or social authority, she became the first witness to the most central event of Christianity.
When Jesus rose from the dead, the first person who witnessed him was Mary, a woman who had no authority in her time.
Easter begins with an unexpected truth.
The resurrection story does not open with kings, priests, or powerful men claiming victory. It begins with a woman standing at an empty tomb — grieving, faithful, and present when others had fled.
I have a simple ask. The Dragon – some billionaire with media access/influence (Rupert Murdoch Fox News) Leonard Leo (Dark Money PACs), Koch brothers, Mercers (oligarch networks, far-right think tanks), Elon Musk)
