It’s the first time in years I’ve left a conference genuinely worried about my health. The "FOSDEM Flu" shouldn't be the price of entry. I hope one day we can keep the event’s soul "alive" without compromising on basic safety.

FOSDEM 🇧🇪 2026 is a wrap!
The energy was incredible, but the logistics were tough. At times, the overcrowding felt like more than just "busy". The lack of air circulation/renewal and the sheer density in some rooms, corridors, or booths raised real safety concerns.
