Remember to build your chicken coop with two doors.
Because if it has four doors, it's a chicken sedan.

I believe that in order to take some small step forward, the word “bird” should be replaced with “saur” in all common names. Mockingsaur. Secretarysaur. Red-winged blacksaur.

the main issue with editing Calvin & Hobbes comic strips as a meme template is that you are probably not as funny as Bill Watterson
My advice for junior people is you need to be in the office. I know you don't like that. But the kind of organizational depth you get from physicality is something you probably aren't advisably ready to abandon.
Banner that reads “the only orange monarch we need”. With a butterfly on it.
Spotted on my bike ride to work. Butterflies are so important.
Indeed.
I'm gonna keep posting tweets until I post the tweet that makes Bill the Beam Jocky quote the line about putting fins on cars again.
This is Sadie. She was finally reunited with her human, astronaut Christina Koch, after her mom’s voyage around the moon took her the furthest any human has ever been from their dog. She can't wait to hear all about the universe. 14/10 (IG: astro_christina)

Boston Globe mock front page from April 9, 2016. Date says April 9, 2017, with giant headline “DEPORTATIONS TO BEGIN” and “Markets sink as trade war looms.”
Ten years ago today, in April 2016, the Boston Globe printed a satirical front page imagining a future Trump administration. The page was called "alarmist," "hyperbolic," "dystopian." But we’ve put up with so much since then it now looks like . . . a slow Thursday?

SPACE NUTELLA
This makes me curious: Space friends, what other states have never had an astronomy program in their universities?
A bit of a different take on the amazing Artemis II launch footage.
Here I stitched clips from the four Solar Array Wing Cameras to make this panoramic video.
This is during the later part of the Core Stage burn until MECO and stage separation, sped up to 10x. 🔭🧪 #Artemis
Have any of Shakespeare’s other plays been adapted to sci-fi movies?
Forbidden Planet, one of cinema's first sci-fi classics, and the spiritual ancestor to Star Trek, premiered SEVENTY years ago today 🤯

I dabble in urban architecture sketching, especially when traveling. As the piece says, buildings are a lot easier to draw than people or landscapes, so good for newbies. It gets me to observe my surroundings more carefully, and sometimes local people stop to look and then chat.
Happy Valen's Time Day
Valen, Minbari not born of Minbari, who is the reason for the season.

The fact that China is importing oil to increase its stockpiles and simultaneously transitioning rapidly to electric cars and busses that cut demand may be benign, or poor planning, but it also looks like strategic preparation to insulate itself from repercussions of invading Taiwan.
I was fortunate to work with Bruce late in his career. He was an outstanding, humble guy.
the magic of the Muppets is that there are two fourth walls. they constantly break the one that reminds the audience they are performers. they NEVER break the one that reminds the audience they are puppets. this dynamic is the key to their entire comedy style

A student received a posthumous postcard from his former professor, Don Glickman, who was known for his humor. He instructed his daughter to send over 100 postcards.
The gesture went viral and reflected Glickman's unique approach to life and death.
I attended the last Space Shuttle launch at the press site. So did Elmo, with his entourage. It was a festive atmosphere but also a secure government facility staffed by very serious people. There probably wasn’t a child in a three mile radius. Still, every single adult talked to Elmo like a person.
The start of the inspirational Calum’s Road. The image shows a curving single track road climbing a hillside covered in small trees in sunshine. The ground slopes away to the right. There's a road sign in the left foreground saying in English and Gaelic that this is Calum's Road. The rusted remains of a wheelbarrow are on the ground at the foot of the roadsign.

NASA’s predecessor, the NACA, was commonly treated as an abbreviation rather than an acronym, so people spelled out En Ay Cee Ay. I met one old timer who pronounced NASA like that. Weird, but hard to argue with.

A photograph of the seminary gym in knives out. It has the same window.
Just watched the new Knives Out and I think it's really important you know that the scene in the Seminary's Gym is filmed in the same place Rick Astley filmed the music video for Never Gonna Give You Up.
I saw the window tracery and immediately made my friends pause the film so I could tell them.
I need a heist and/or whodunnit movie about the motley team of top burglars in the New England specialty foods racket who pulled off the theft from Canada’s strategic maple syrup reserve and now the lobster shipment. They’ll hit cranberries next.
