The Edge of Two Worlds

art002e009285 (April 6, 2026) – Our planet draws closer to passing behind the Moon in this image captured by the Artemis II crew during their lunar flyby, about six minutes before Earthset. Earth is in a crescent phase, with sunlight coming from the right. The dark portion of Earth is experiencing nighttime. On Earth’s day side, swirling clouds are visible over muted blue in the Australia and Oceania region. The lines of small indentations on the Moon’s rugged surface are secondary crater chains. These structures are formed by material ejected during a violent primary impact.

I wanna be able to go directly to @atproto.at whenever I type in a URI in my address bar

does anyone know if it's possible to make an extension to do this

I'm thinking that in order to keep minimal internet traffic, I should use one jetstream instance in the master process, start a local websocket, and hook into that from each shard. Basically just a local distribution relay for the jetstream.

BREAKING:
7 People out of almost 800 valid account connections are using the regex blacklist feature.

That's less than 1 in 100 people

I don't want a regression in features, but at the same time, malformed regex can be harmful to memory, which slows down the bot. What do we think?

Very tasty - doing it in sections and storing it locally so that I can validate stuff without spamming the API. When it's production ready I'll just run the whole chain once on the bot and it'll fix it all up

a partially finished analytic 2D lighting solution, showing both the angular and radial component with a checkerboard pattern and color coding

I'm almost there it's so pretty!! 😭

this is the first time I've made extensive use of complex numbers in shader code, which has been fun!

it's an analytic 2D lighting system through piecewise conformal maps representing angular light/"sky" exposure, which means you get fully analytic penumbras!
