I don't understand

he is sorry he smashed the religious symbol of the people he just ethnically cleansed?

Yeah, I’ve never quite got over the profound moral injury aspect of watching so many Americans absolutely refuse to even mildly sacrifice to help others during Covid - watching MAGAs somehow become even more evil was radicalizing.

And now the bastards are trying to destroy MRNA research.

1 year ago today I was terminated by DOGE from USAID where I worked to get humanitarian aid into Gaza. Everyone I knew across almost 10 years of my career across 3 prior jobs became unemployed as well. My entire LinkedIn network suddenly became "open to work"

I'm a one issue voter. Punishment.

New additions and updates to "no need for flags in bio when one can do this", a pin in memory for Circassian genocide actually from Circassia (in Russia), a different Bahraini pin, a Tokyo 1994 art pin. Since it was taken in the evening glow-in-the-dark aspects for "Freedom" and "Taiwan" are visible

'Against the tide': More Israelis and Palestinians now choose to grieve together The Joint Israeli-Palestinian Memorial Day Ceremony Is Now in Its 21st Year. One of Its Organizers Says That People Are Now Joining Faster After the Loss of Their Loved Ones, Understanding 'They Can't...

I often get the sense that American leftists write off joint Israeli-Palestinian activism as naive kumbaya shit but whenever I read something like this I am blown away by the strength of people who have endured the worst losses possible and yet still show up with compassion for the “enemy”

PERSON FROM OFF-PANEL: Oh no. PERSON 1: We tried to stop them, but the league is set on an expansion.

For people who love to denounce liberals as genocidaires, acknowledging that they were the ones who helped cause one of the worst mass deaths in recent history would be unthinkable.

This is going to sound insane, but I think the sheer amount of death is part of why it's hard for it to get traction. Acknowledging it would mean, for so many people, acknowledging blood on their hands for their actions and words in the lead up to the election.

people talk about "turning into the Joker" but honestly the one thing that feels like looking into the face of a Lovecraft horror and melting my mind is how literally no one cares about the mass death caused by the cutting of USAID like...

Absolutely incredible.

NASA Astronaut Reid Wiseman, who commanded Artemis II, took this footage from the far side of the Moon with his iPhone.

Watch with sound on.

*sighs*

I actually like a lot about anarchism and think that people should generally be a lot more willing to self-organise on a local level rather than letting themselves *be* organised. If only more anarchists actually did that.

Very lumpy looking sample of a dark mineral or rock about 3 inches across.

Some people special to me donated their lifelong collection of rock and fossils to the department. One item stood out... I've never held one and rarely seen one for sale. Can any of my geology friends identify it, and explain why it's important in our science?

I usually try to explain it like this: picture Jim Varney as Xeni Jardin. Now imagine they're Native American. Doesn't look so much like the stock market crash of 1929 was caused by kiddies lurking now, does it?

Marwan Barghouti is the most popular Palestinian alive and has expressed support for a partition along the pre June 1967 borders into a separate state.

Barghouti has been in Israeli jail for two decades and is routinely tortured and even threatened with murder by Israeli politicians and guards.
