Australia recorded ZERO cases of cervical cancer in women under 25 for the first time since they started tracking the cancer in the 80s.
This is the power of vaccines.
The HPV vaccine is extremely effective at preventing cancer.

Really happy to share a link to our work showing that anti-progestin therapy could help prevent breast cancer before menopause.
Published today in Nature, the study suggests this could be a new way to stop breast cancer before it starts: urldefense.com/v3/__https:/...
Brilliant team science
Very excited to share an advert for a new lecturer position in Computational Cancer at UCL! Permanent position at assistant professor level- join a growing community at UCL in a cutting edge discipline.
Please share widely!

A step in the right direction. Whilst this study is in mice, looking at hormones and related brain behaviour it highlights just how little data is there about females and hormones. It’s known that E2 and P fluctuate between cycles but very little research is done to understand how it affects females
Cambridge researchers show that whole genome sequencing for breast cancer patients is likely to identify unique genetic features that could guide treatment or help match patients to clinical trials - which could benefit over 15,000 women a year.

Fantastic 🤩
I’ve been listening to the podcast and it’s fascinating how people go about their creativity thinking of science. Creativity is not something junior scientists develop or are encouraged to actively undertake. This new venture sounds amazing!!!
