Other than my birds (yes they belong to me now, so the hawk taking 1 (2nd time btw) was personal) & several squirrels, we only occasionally get the odd possum passing through.

Since when do you need an ID to sell a book at Half-Price Books?

The woman behind the counter claimed it was just like at a pawn shop. NO IT’S NOT. People sell valuable stolen goods at pawn shops! Who sells a stolen book for a buck at a bookstore? Apparently they need to be able to track me down.

I have attracted a nice community of birds to my feeders. Yesterday a hawk swooped down & took one of a mated pair of mourning doves. It was traumatic. Now Mrs. Mourning Dove is alone & it’s sad. I read that they grieve.
