The shelter I used to work at (& adopted my kitties from) does the same thing. Though amusingly, they tried to rehome a feral cat at my old apt complex 2x to diff't farms as a barn cat. The 2nd time it showed back up at the complex the office staff adopted it & it became a complex kitty instead.

Per the UPS tracker, it is 200 miles away and will take 7 days to get to me.

My dishwasher is doing that annoying thing where it refuses to unload itself and so dirty dishes are piling up in the sink because I don't want to stop writing long enough to deal with unloading *and* reloading the dishwasher... 🤣
