I believe in a future where care workers have real respect, real protection, and a real seat at the table. And I believe we can win it together.

This ruling matters because children matter. Care matters. Working families matter.
No administration should be allowed to punish communities by withholding the support families rely on.
We already spend more on the military than the next 9 countries combined… and Trump wants to push it even higher. At the same time, he wants to slash the programs our families, seniors, and communities count on.
This is not about what we can afford. It is about who they are choosing to invest in.
For far too many workers, one illness, one pregnancy, or one family emergency can mean lost wages or lost jobs.
No one should have to choose between keeping a paycheck and caring for their family. But that is exactly what happens every day. Care is essential. Workers are essential.
Flooding airports with ICE does not make anyone safer. It spreads fear, confusion, and trauma.
When people in power create chaos, they count on the rest of us to stay quiet. We will not.
There is nothing radical about demanding dignity for the people who make dignity possible for others.
They call it “more choice.”
But Trump’s proposed Obamacare changes could leave families paying $31,000 out of pocket.
That’s not reform. That’s sabotage.
The lie was simple: blame immigrants and native-born workers will get ahead.
But native-born workers are not seeing the promised gains in jobs and wages.
Now the truth is clear: anti-immigrant politics is hurting working people, not helping them.
A 22-year-old in Wisconsin died after his inhaler price jumped to $539 overnight. This is what happens when people are forced to choose between rent and healthcare.
Healthcare is a human right.

Immigrants are holding up our care system right now. In CA, nearly half of direct care workers are foreign-born. You can’t claim to care about older adults and people with disabilities while targeting the caregivers they rely on.
Protect immigrant families. Protect care. Period.
Over one-third of workers in this country have zero paid sick days. This is why we have to organize. To unionize. Because together, our voices are too loud to ignore. #UnionsForAll
Healthcare isn’t a perk. It’s not a “bonus”. It’s survival. Nobody should go bankrupt just because they got sick.
Happy New Year! Proud of the solidarity our members built across regions and differences. That’s how we win, and how we keep fighting for healthcare, economic security, and respect.
Hoping this Christmas that everyone who gives care also feels the fruits of their labor: real rest, deep love, and the care they deserve. Merry Christmas
Last night we celebrated the power of our beautiful SEIU 2015 Region 5 members and recognized the exceptional contributions they made to lifting up the dignity of care workers and our communities. Magical!
Trump deported millions and promised “more jobs” for Americans. Instead we got 946k job cuts, hiring at a 14-year low, and a projected 6.8 percent hit to the economy. You can’t help workers by tearing communities apart.
I’m grateful for every worker and every family navigating so much this year. Wishing you rest, warmth, and connection. Happy Thanksgiving.
Grateful to have spent the day today with 100 member leaders from across the state committed to building a distributive leadership model that will unearth and develop members everywhere in @seiu2015.bsky.social to find their voice and write their story.
Reminder that Starbucks has spent over $240 MILLION on union busting efforts in order to continue exploiting their workers. Solidarity with @sbworkersunited.org ✊🏾
Thank you to all our Veterans who sacrifice body, mind and spirit to defend our country and took an oath to serve and to defend the Constitution of these United States. We honor you today and appreciate those of you who have reminded this administration that you serve the people and not a King!
Prop 50 is about protecting the voice and choice of working people, and setting a national precedent for equal representation. The power we build here in California can strengthen democracy everywhere.

Republicans would rather shut down the government than stop our healthcare premiums from jumping 75%.
They’re holding our country hostage and workers are done paying the price. #CareIsEssential
Elijah is 7. He has cerebral palsy. Medicaid pays for his wheelchair and therapies. SNAP helps his family eat. Now cruel federal cuts are taking that away.
This is wrong. #CareIsEssential

Trump wants to roll back decades of progress by gutting Medicaid, the single largest source of long-term care funding. That means less care for older adults and people with disabilities, and more impossible choices for caregivers. #CareIsEssential

Trump and his allies are trying to rig the rules. Caregivers won’t let them.
