And of course can't go to the Alps without sharing more photos! Doesn't hurt learning about such amazing science in such a beautiful place! ποΈ
A big month for NMR conferences! First the 9th Gateway NMR Conference and the inauguration of the 1st 1.2 in North America at Ohio State 𧲠Followed by the Computational Aspects of Biomolecular NMR GRC in the Swiss Alps! Thank you to every organizer for bringing this amazing community together! #NMR
Hakone! You can take the bullet train from Tokyo. It is a gorgeous mountain town, lots of good hikes, an amazing medieval tea house and a very cool ropeway with beautiful views of Mt. Fuji. Definitely the highlight of my trip to Tokyo!
Fantastic science this weekend at @iuqcb.bsky.social's Watanabe Symposium. Our grad student @jsrocchio.bsky.social even won the student poster competition! Thanks to @tripletstatesguy.bsky.social, @glycocode.bsky.social and all other speakers for great talks! #IUresearch
I am on a panel at the OASIS conference this Saturday here at IUB! The symposium is LGBTQIA+ focused and I will be speaking on the queer academia panel with other grad students, staff and faculty about our experiences. See the flyer to register! π³οΈβππ³οΈββ§οΈ
QCB has been one of the best parts of my PhD! Happy to talk with anyone about the program and applying :)
Our lab is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral research associate to study zinc metallochaperones from the COG0523 superfamily of small GTPases. Apply here: shorturl.at/UmQYM or send application materials to Prof. Giedroc directly at giedroc@iu.edu. Looking for strong biochemists; please share!
Our Diversity and Climate Committee is hosting Polly Arnold for our annual seminar series! Anyone is welcome at any of the events!
If anyone would like my letter, I would be happy to share it. We really need to lean on community this week <3
I contacted my senators and representative to advocate for protecting NIH funding. As an NIH fellow for almost 2 years in a lab that is NIH funded, everything feels devestating. Hoping there will still be a future for research when I graduate. @giedroclab.bsky.social @iuqcb.bsky.social
Already posted both of these on the previous platform, but our new #b800 is finally up and working! Here's photos of me with it on the day it was delivered and the day the old one was taken out! 𧲠Excited to continue working with Katie in her new role!! #NMR
So proud!! π€π§« Clare can definitely teach me a thing or two about cloning!
Our very talented undergrad, Clare Frawley, presented her first poster today at the Indiana University Undergraduate Research Conference! π π Clare has been working with our grad student @jsrocchio.bsky.social on unnatural amino acid incorporation for live-cell cross linking studies! #IUResearch

As the lab migrates over to #ChemSky, we are debuting our new lab logo designed by our own graduate student @jsrocchio.bsky.social. Happy to be here!
