I am so tired of drivers in their giant vehicles who treat everyone else like second-class citizens & who suck up all the resources in our society & cause everything good to be paved and ugly.
This rant brought to you by the lady who made direct eye contact as she refused to let me cross the street.

Philly could be a contender for the US's best transit city if frequency and reliability on subways and trolleys were improved. Can't speak firsthand on buses but I do see a ton of them rolling through the city center.

I've been thinking a lot about ancient, already-fallen civilisations and how the people living in them had memories/knowledge of when things felt good. Did they also look around and think that what they saw was as nice as it would ever be and would only get worse now and after they were gone?

The 7th Annual Great Jersey City Cleanup! Reflections after an hour of litter picking: the areas around parked cars are often the trashiest. Drink containers & cardboard boxes from Amazon were the biggest categories of litter material. Our storm drains are loaded with trash. #keepjerseycitybeautiful

On a more personal note, if I never travel again, it'll be because I can't stand the heartbreak of falling in love with animals I'll never see again.

Cars are the leading cause of death for people in the US aged between 1 and 54. This violence is 100% preventable and the result of bad planning, corporate greed, and careless policy. If we successfully address these issues, we'll have a more equitable and safer country.

Automakers should be prosecuted into the ground for all the death and destruction they've caused. It's absurd that we've allowed these companies and our elected officials to segregate and disconnect our cities through their promotion of car-based infrastructure.

As my time in France comes to a close, I'm happy to know there really are places that love people and give them punctual and pleasant public transportation options. I'm also sad that so few places in the US offer either.

It's good that you're saving enough of that energy for commenting on issues that you know you can't prioritize. That way you know your opinion can be heard but you can leave it to others to actually take action.

Oh okay so you would but it's just not a high enough priority, got it.

Do you then just say "screw them, oh well" and expect things to carry on the way they are? Honest question. What do you *do* in response to avocate for the things that need changing and fixed? Do you drive as an act of protest?

Yes, you do seem difficult to be around.
