I have enjoyed season 2 of The Pitt. Maybe not as much as season 1, but close, and some parts more so. I would rate the show's (and characters') views on healthcare costs, ICE, AI, tech, etc, as all very strongly progressive, very empathetic, very hopeful.

Reminder: don't listen to criticisms from people who don't know what they're talking about.

Beyond being pretty reductionist, the problem I have with that is that games are a medium, and we don’t generally compare media to toys. There are aspects of games that are toy-like, which could be said for anything interactive, like applications or websites. But the whole experience goes beyond.

Trump is committing war crimes in Iran and is threatening more and worse ones. His entire war strategy at this point is war crimes. A functional Congress would be far down the road of impeachment and removal.

I'm pretty sure that those who say people wouldn't want to work are actually afraid people wouldn't want to work *for them*. UBI gives power to labor by allowing people to be choosy about where & how they work, that's what they're afraid of.

The problem isn’t the AI (in this case), it’s the business model that requires it to run in the cloud. And the deregulation that makes this abuse of public utilities profitable. And the environmental short-sightedness. These things aren’t inherent in the use of AI.
