My kanban for @obsidian.md bases plugin got accepted as a community plugin! Thankfully, an official plugin is on the obsidian.md/roadmap/, but until then:

Great refresher on the current state of @deno.land if you've been watching from the sidelines!

Our next episode for @typescript.fm will be on the "sheer joy of publishing on JSR" (h/t to @xiwcx.bsky.social for the inspiration and his write-up!).

if you need to understand a #typescript feature or concept in great detail, except no substitutions. @dr-axel.de's writing has helped me immensely over the years

A parody of "what this book presupposes" meme from the film Royal Tenenbaums featuring the character Eli Cash with the caption "Everyone knows you have to publish to NPM. What I am presupposing is maybe we don't?"

While it is hard to give up the visibility of the NPM registry, I think JSR is doing a good job of interoperability. As long as you are using ESM, you should be able to reference a JSR package in an NPM project. I think we're closer than we realize to the technical feasibility of making the shift.

The Sheer Joy of Publishing Packages to JSR Leaving the compatibility configuration of NPM behind for a simple workflow

Have you tried @jsr.io yet? It's a new NPM alternative introduced by the @deno.land team and it is fantastic. I'm hoping more #javascript and #typescript package maintainers make the leap in 2025

css code that powers picking a dark or light theme without javascript

css code that powers picking a dark or light theme without javascript

i've been hanging out in the back of the frontend for a minute, so i knew in theory that all these pieces of the spec had trickled in to browsers. i was still floored to find that this "just works" and color scheming could be powered with so little.
