"Update 3/9 @ 9:00 Hi everyone, Today is the end of the third week that Ludovic has been in ICE custody despite the fact that he was following all the rules they laid out. A judge recently corrected the statute he was being held under so that he can finally receive a bond hearing which has been requested with many letters of support for Ludovic’s moral character. We hope that in the next week or two he will finally be released on bond. This has been a long week with the government going back and forth, raising our hopes and then stalling and reversing course. It all seems like ICE just wants to cause as much suffering as they can, just to get Ludovic to give up. They need him to give up, but thanks to all of the support he has received he is able to continue fighting for justice. In related news Maryland congressional representatives recently made a public visit to the Baltimore ICE facility where Ludovic experienced the worst conditions during his captivity. Recently Maryland judges have also ordered a number of corrections to appalling conditions there. Thank you to everyone who has been contacting your representatives regarding Ludovic’s case, the Baltimore detention facility, and more broadly ICE’s disgraceful conduct nationwide.
