I’m 100% bringing this deck with me to FanFest in case any other MtG players are there and wanna shuffle up and play! Though it’s headlined by Lightning, like FFXIV itself, the whole deck will have references to every FF game in it. ESPECIALLY XIV!

The synergy!!! I picked up the @ultraprointl.bsky.social alcove box and apex sleeves on sale! I just have to finish the mana base and add a few more adjustments to the 99, but my FF13 Lightning deck capable of “RKO Outta Nowhere’ing” people is done!! Now, to get the matching mat when I can 😅
I’m really enjoying my new Lathril deck. I’ve yet to win a single game with it but it is HILARIOUS watching the whole table scramble and come up with plans together to stop me from nuking them from orbit after I drop 10 elves on the board in one turn 🤣🤣🤣
This is so inspiring! I can’t wait until I’m back on my feet and can get my setup back up and running because I’ve been thinking about bringing MtG content to my channel but now I want to even moreso!! This community is amazing!

The Boi has now claimed several victims at my LGS heheh. Played 2 games tonight. Came in 2nd in game 1 and WON game 2! Not bad for my first time playing my brand new deck I built myself! (With a little help from friends heheh)

Did some trade-ins at my LGS for store credit and picked up 2 upgrades for my current Squall, SeeD Mercenary deck and and upgraded art for the boi himself! Gotta bling out my commander! Still have some credit left over for some packs and Friday night commander this week!!
BIG news today!! Got a job offer for a full-time job with benefits right out of the gate! It’s Mon-Fri with all major holidays off so I can still keep my part-time job as I primarily only work Sundays there. Nose will be to the grindstone a bit as I build my way back to financial stability!!
Finally got to sit and open it up!! The cards came a little bent which I’m not particularly thrilled about but they’re otherwise undamaged so it’s not the end of the world! Time to brew my new commander!! (Also my booster packs were all misses. No good pulls 😭)

In other FF news: My Destiny 2 clan does a Secret Santa every year!! This year my Secret Santa got me the FF8 mtg playmat and the scene box is on the way!! I can’t wait to build the new Squall as my commander!
That was incredible!! I cried 4 times before intermission alone 😅. What an amazing celebration of all the FF games! And 14/16 being the headliner was the cherry on top!!

Happy New Year!!! 2025 was… not my year, to say the least. I’m ending the year homeless, but I have a new well-paying (albeit part time) job, and a potential interview next week for a full time one! Then I can get back on my meds, and sort out my living situation by the end of 2026! Let’s do this!!
I am considering a bold, life altering decision to start the new year and getting bangs. But question! How do you style bangs with straight hair and make it look good? My hair is naturally wavy but too thick to look good wavy so I usually flat iron it to make it look smoother 😅
April can’t come fast enough!! Only thing left to secure for FanFest is my flight!! I’m so excited. I need something good to happen in 2026 to cancel out the shitshow that was 2025 😩
2025 has not been my year. Here’s to 2026 being better! Starting it off strong going to my first Distant Worlds with my brother in January, then FanFest in April!! I finally started a new job. Hopefully a place to live is next. Here’s to 2026!!
Life update!
Good news: as of Dec 6th, I’m no longer unemployed!! My new job is set to start by the end of this week. Bad news: it’s part-time as needed to start and I need to somehow save up to be close to having a place to live by Jan 1st. Not out of the woods quite yet but we carry on!
Honorable mentions to DMC Franchise and FF16!!! I’m about a little over halfway done with 16 but am in love with it (And Clive!) and DMC was JUST edged out of the top 5 by RDR2 😅
