Created this on canva with my abdominal massage apprentice. Mostly teaching abdominal massage but she’s also learning some canva skills and other skills that small business owners must know because we do everything! We are reading The Web That Has No Weaver, and this is a passage from it:)

If you’re interested in dismantling the patriarchy when it comes to health and wellness in uterus owners👇
Also, I first shared this on the platform that shall not be named, and there are more slides that couldn’t fit here.

🔥 I KIND OF THOUGHT WE WERE OVER THIS AS A SOCIETY?!?! 🔥

Instead of predating upon postpartum people (postpartum lasts forever), let’s normalize the wide array of postpartum bellies!

Do you relate?

The only issue I can think of is the shame that people who do not go back to “normal” after pregnancy feel when they see professionals such as physical therapists, healers, trainers, dietitians and other influencers with 5 step programs, claiming to know how to get rid of this *undesirable” trait.

There is no evidence to prove that the “mom pooch” causes any of these issues anyways.

First of all, the “mom pooch” is not a diagnosis, and if it were, it is not detrimental to your health unless there are other issues co-existing (such as diastasis recti or digestive issues) in which case we should focus on those and not a layer of fat or flabby skin that is leftover after pregnancy

👩🏻‍🍼”How to get rid of your mom pooch!” 🏃🏽‍♀️‍➡️”3 exercises to shrink down that mom pooch!”

Really anything, mom pooch and general belly fat shrinking related feels predatory.

Just wanted to mention also work with other areas of the body in need! Whether I work with the abdomen or not is totally up to you. I find that abdominal work can be used in combination with other areas of tension/pain for better results. LMK if you have any questions!

There is so much terrifying and confusing news in the world these days. While I believe that it’s important to stay informed, ruminating on it can cause mental and physical health issues.

So while staying informed, consider the things that make you smile, and give them some space in your brain.

😊 What’s something that made you smile today? 😀

This morning I saw a hawk circling high in the sky. After I dropped my kids off at school I went cross country skiing with my dog. I saw a little bird flying low in the forest. I think it was a brown creeper but it was hard to be sure.

Hey! I got one of these blue sky things because I saw that there may be a migration? I don’t know much about social media and the political aspects of why this is happening, but I’m going with the flow. Why did you open an account here? Will you be going back to meta, using both, or fully switching?
