Congress Is Considering Abolishing Your Right to Be Anonymous Online The bipartisan push to remove anonymity from the internet is ushering in an era of unprecedented mass surveillance and censorship.

“Young people still have human rights, and that includes the right to access information and to associate with other people and to speak to the world. These laws are designed to diminish those rights,” EFF’s David Greene told @TheIntercept. theintercept.com/2026/03/05/...

My political hot take is that US voters should be able to recall elected representatives via petition - at any time.
No more hiding behind election terms.

TRANS RIGHTS ARE A WINNING POLITICAL ISSUE

Every single centrist claiming we must all compromise our bodily autonomy for their personal comfort is a traitor to American democracy & rational human decency.

They have no place in a modern Democratic Party, toss them out. Total liberation for all.

A four frame comic about Captain Torture. The first frame shows the sign "BREAKING NEWS" and the drawing of a man, with the words "CAPTAIN TORTURES PASSES AWAY" near him. The second frame shows a journalist holding a mic, as she says "A controversial and divisive figure, Captain torture will be remembered for his key role in history." The News title is "Mourning day for Captain-". The third frame shows three posts on social media. The first one is by a man called Paul James @Paulitician. He writes: "I didn't always agree with Captain Torture but he sure was a man who believed in something." The second post by James Paul @Avegetable reads: "I pay my respects to Captain Torture and his family. His heart was in the right place- with our country." The third post is by SonicVomit @SonicBleh , and reads "HE TORTURED PEOPLE". The fourth frame shows an interview on TV. An angry man on the right is saying: "Let me tell you something, Jen. I think it's SICK to celebrate Captain Torture's death. These people should be LOCKED UP, and also tortured-". The news below says: "Every president on earth pays homage-".

Deleted post reveals Graham Platner joined US Military to kill people & had an "excellent time" doing so

5 months ago 86 9 7 2

When has he ever mention regret and disillusionment for the people he's killed? This guy advocates for a stronger military and MORE recruitment.

5 months ago 0 0 0 0

Okay. And on his 3 voluntary tours to kill brown people as a gunman?

5 months ago 15 1 2 0

He openly admits he joined the military because he wanted to kill Arabs and says he had an excellent time killing them.

What you're doing to whitewash this guy will be remembered, Ryan.

Is it cognitive dissonance I wonder...or is it just self-interest? Or is it really American exceptionalism and WSupremacy..

You condemn this act and then turn around and support an American who did the same to Iraq and Afghanistan.

5 months ago 3 0 1 0

I guess the 4 tours in Iraq weren't enough to convince him it was wrong, so he signed up for Blackwater *several years later* and only then did he realize it?

How can Graham Platner even begin making up for the lives destroyed in Iraq and Afghanistan? The torture, the destabilization that he participated in joyously. He has not even mentioned the horrors let alone apologized for being a part of them. And that would still not earn him leadership.
