the outrage about Minneapolis should not come from the fact that Renee Good was a citizen

it should come from that fact that even being a citizen will not save you from an ICE agent deciding to murder you, and that politicians will still defend them

Will it be an entry point into more meaningful direct action and community organizing? Absolutely, for some.
Does it help people in red states felel less abandoned? I think so.
Is it a free outside hang on a sunny day that pisses some truly terrible people off? Yep!

“I prefer direct action” cool ok well you do that and you can also let boomers hold signs en masse. It doesn’t have to be one or the other.

If you’re cis & you want trans folks to know they’re valid and cared for, here’s a tip: Don’t say it to a trans person. Go talk to a cis person.

Talk to your dad. Your coworker. Your friends. Ask if they know whats going on. Ask if they have uncertainties when it comes to the ~trans issue.~

unfortunately for these folks the odds are that they aren’t going to go after violent criminals at all — too hard — and going to go exclusively over the easiest targets, which are law abiding workers
