Despite food and drink issues, Thanh and I enjoyed our first trip together!

I even have this picture printed out right in front of me on my desk right now as I'm typing. Truly a special picture! ❤️

The trip was short but memorable! I had some slightly undone BBQ mushrooms on that only evening, which resulted in mild food poisoning on the following day 🤢 And Thanh had quite a bit too drink 🥴 So yeah, it was fun! 😅

The evening this picture was taken, we were sitting in the garden of a small vacation villa, where he and his team were celebrating. He's wearing one of my shirts – something that he's still doing to this day!

Thanh took me with him on a company trip. This company is now bankrupt and even had been in the local newspaper for fraud issues. I think the company still owes him money, by the way (not much, luckily) 😅

I honestly feel some weight on my shoulders to make sure that Thanh will at least be able to visit his family later this year again. However, I'm sure we will be able to make this come true!

But you know Thanh, and how he has been handling all challenges we faced so far, and he was certainly graceful (even though his zodiac is dog, not snake).

For Thanh, this year certainly is a lot about rising above challenges and proving his resilience, as this is the first year ever he's not spending the Lunar New Year (Tết nguyên đán) with his family.

We took this photo with our Vietnamese family, i.e. Thanh's dad and sister, last year's Lunar New Year, just before we moved to Germany.
