A 2nd novel sent to the editor this year, in time for @glasgow2024.bsky.social! Here I'm holding the one launched at @icecon.bsky.social. Can't wait to absorb everything at #Worldcon, meeting new and old friends. I'll be on two panels: Combining Genres and Building Fictional Folklores. #Glasgow2024
Congratulations to @scalzi.com for winning the Japanese Seiun award for the Kaiju Preservation Society 🥳
What a weekend! Multiple panels, awesome people, new book launched and I received the first Icelandic SFF award! For outstanding contribution to The Fantastic. Thank you, @icecon.bsky.social, it means the world to me!
The name of the award, Hnitbjörg, comes from the mountain where the mead of poetry (the equivalent of a muse) is stored according to Norse mythology.

Yesterday @emilhpetersen.bsky.social was awarded the Hnitbjörg award for outstanding contribution to the genre. This is the first time the award has been given and he is a worthy recipient. Hnitbjörg will be given every 2 years at IceCon and the recipient will be decided on by the ConCom.
Our famous Pub quiz. This years winners were the team of @scalzi.com - @hildur.bsky.social - and Óli Gísli.
